Our Story
AP Design Group is a New Orleans-based structural and civil engineering firm with a clear mission: to deliver high-quality, efficient engineering solutions. With over 30 years of combined experience, our partners specialize in designing commercial, residential, and industrial projects throughout Southeast Louisiana and the surrounding regions. Our expertise spans diverse sectors, including healthcare, education, hospitality, and multi-family residential. We use a holistic design philosophy that considers the needs of the owner, architect, and contractor to ensure a seamless and successful project from start to finish.
Our Name
The name AP Design Group honors the heritage of Avoyelles Parish, the birthplace of our co-founder, Joshua Juneau. Our firm was inspired by a family heirloom—a beautifully ornate branding iron marked "AP" that belonged to Joshua’s great-great-grandparents.
As a tool built for identity and endurance, that iron became the symbol for our firm’s mission. We chose the letters AP to connect our modern civil and structural engineering expertise to a legacy of quality and meticulous design. Every project we undertake carries this mark of reliable, enduring craftsmanship.

A Georgia Tech alumnus with a background in multi-billion dollar industrial projects. Alex specializes in complex structural design using steel and reinforced concrete. Licensed as both a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and a Structural Engineer (S.E.), he delivers precise, innovative solutions for large-scale commercial and industrial challenges.

His diverse portfolio spans residential, commercial, and institutional projects, featuring a mastery of steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and cold-formed steel systems.
